Papertrey June Blog Hop:Stripey Celebrate

Ok, I think this might be the last one for the gold blog hop ... I think! :)

I tried some misting with Studio Calico Mister Huey's gold mist:
I took some washi tape to tape off the stripes and then misted away.  I like that it is a bit blotchy ... definitely not perfect misting, by any means!
I added the Happy Trails sentiment in Tuxedo Black and some triangles from Sketched Shapes.
You can see a bit of hte shine here from the mist - it's a fun look.

Supplies:
Paper:PTI Rustic Cream
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Stamps: PTI Happy Trails, Sketched Shapes
Misc: Studio Calico Mister Huey's gold mist, washi tape

Papertrey June Blog Hop: So happy for you

Here's another gold themed card for the blog hop:

Oooh, I just love Perfect Pearls!!
I stamped the corner Mini Blooms image with some Versamark and added Pefect Pearls in gold.  Now that I see the photo, I see I missed a little area ... oops!
I added the swirly sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black and that was it!

Supplies:
Paper: PTI Hawaiian Shores
Stamps: PTI Mini Blooms
Ink: Versamark, Memento Tuxedo Black
Misc: Perfect Pearls gold

Papertrey June Blog Hop: Graduation Day

And another gold themed card for the PTI blog hop:
This card has a Rustic Cream card base  I added a gold shimmer panel to the front with some foam dots and stamped the Movers and Shakers sentiment in Vintage Cream ink.  I then added a Sketched Shapes banner using My Mind's Eye turquoise woodgrain paper and stamped it with a sentiment from Movers and Shakers as well.
I used some gold embossing powder on a Studio Calico wood veneer and added it to my banner for little more bling.

Paper: My Mind's Eye turquoise woodgrain, Recollections gold shimmer, PTI Rustic Cream
Stamps: PTI Movers and Shakers
Ink: Versamark, PTI Vintage Cream
Misc: Studio Calico Hearts and Arrows wood veneers, Zing embossing powder (gold), foam dots, PTI Sketched Shapes banner die

Papertrey June Blog Hop: celebrate

Another card for this month's gold themed blog hop:

I have been enjoying the sequin trend that is out there right now ... I glued a whole bunch of gold sequins and then turquoise ones on my card.  I used Basic Grey card stock from Stampin' Up - still hoping that PTI will make a medium gray like this ... I love the way it looks with white embossing, gold and turquoise.  Yum!
After finishing the cascading sequins, I added a sentiment from one of the Think Big Favorites sets - used some Versamark and gold Zing embossing powder.

I used Glossy Accents to adhere my sequins with tweezers - how do you adhere them?

Supplies:
Paper: SU Basic Gray
Stamps: PTI Think Big Favorites
Ink: Versamark
Misc:  Zing embossing powder (gold), gold and turquoise sequins, Glossy Accents

Papertrey June Blog Hop: Grad 2013

Continuing on with the gold theme for this month's blog hop:

I kept this one simple and stamped Hero Arts Cling Dots with Brilliance Galaxy Gold for a little shimmer.
I added gold shimmer cardstock die cuts using PTI's Headline Alphabet and Movers and Shakers numbers for the grad year with some Vintage Cream ink.

Here's a closeup and you can see the slight shadow stamping of the numbers after I double stamped ...
Do any any of you crafters struggle with adhering small die cuts without the adhesive showing?  Foam tape or dots are usually white so they totally show.  I found the perfect solution - these clear glue squares.  I cut them up and they are pretty much invisible!  I bought a few extra packs, so if anyone would like one, I am going to sell them for $2.50 each, $3 with shipping.  Just leave a comment with your address if you are interested.  Gotta share finding something that really works! :)

Supplies:
Paper: Recollections gold shimmer card stock, PTI Smokey Shadow
Stamps: Hero Arts Cling Dots, PTI Movers and Shakers (numbers)
Ink: Brilliance Galaxy Gold, PTI Vintage Cream
Misc: PTI Headline alphabet dies , clear glue squares

I got busy doing some gold embossing on a kraft card base.  I used Papertrey's Mini Blooms all around the outer edges and embossed with Versamark and gold  Zing embossing powder.
I added a gold inked Mini Blooms cluster with Brilliance Galaxy Gold and then heat embossed the sentiment in gold as well.
The Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink gives a nice shimmer - love these pearlescent inks!

Supplies:
Paper: PTI Kraft, Staples 110lb white
Stamps: PTI Mini Blooms
Ink: Versamark, Brilliance Galaxy Gold
Misc:  Zing embossing powder (gold), foam dots
